Care Quality Commission

GP practices and other primary medical services are now regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This means that we have to be registered with the CQC by law. The CQC check services to ensure we meet the national standards of quality and safety, and a central part of this involves listening to the views and experiences of people who use the service and using their views to help the CQC make judgment about that service.

During the visit, which is to take place every 2 years, the inspector may also ask to see a sample of patient’s records for which prior consent will be sought. All information will be kept confidential.

Practice Inspection

Our practice had an inspection from the CQC (Care Quality Commission) in January 2016 and our practice met all the standards inspected.
